John Miller BSc(Hons), BOst,Diploma (Sports Injuries and Massage)

johnmiller

John qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in osteopathy. The degree is a full time, four-year course, which involves a detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology. Whilst studying to be an osteopath John also attained a diploma in sports injuries and massage from The Body Basics school of body therapy in stratford. He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, a regulated body that maintains high standards and continual training across the profession and requires osteopaths to be professionally insured.

John has also undertaken additional courses to further his skills base in Osteopathy in the cranial field, Pilates (with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) and western medical acupuncture (dry needling). He has worked as an osteopath in Stratford, Peterborough, Billericay and the Isle of Wight prior to opening the clinic in the City of London. Before becoming an osteopath he attained a bachelor’s degree in management and design in engineering and later worked for the Ministry of Defence for the Defence Secondary Care Agency, which helped develop his interest in healthcare.

John would never have become an osteopath if it wasn’t for his faith. It was during a time of soul searching in his life that John became a Christian. He became dissatisfied with the bureaucracy and politics of the civil service where he worked and the alternative: materialism and love of money in the private sector. John met a visiting preacher at his church that recommended him to his friend who was an osteopath. A series of events convinced him that this was the path he was to follow and John has never looked back since. Osteopathy has been a gift to John and to his patients giving meaning and purpose to his life through the service of others.
