John qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Osteopathy, completing a full-time four-year course covering anatomy, physiology, and pathology. During his studies, he also gained a diploma in sports injuries and massage from The Body Basics School of Body Therapy in Stratford. He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the regulatory body that maintains high professional standards and requires ongoing training and professional insurance.
John has undertaken further postgraduate training in cranial osteopathy, Pilates (with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute), and Western medical acupuncture (dry needling). He has worked as an osteopath in Stratford, Peterborough, Billericay, and the Isle of Wight before opening his clinic in the City of London. Prior to his osteopathic career, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Design in Engineering and worked for the Ministry of Defence, which helped develop his interest in healthcare.
John’s journey into osteopathy was strongly influenced by his faith. During a period of soul-searching, he became a Christian and grew dissatisfied with both the bureaucracy of the civil service and the materialism of the private sector. After meeting a visiting preacher who introduced him to an osteopath, a series of events confirmed this path. Osteopathy has since become a gift to both John and his patients, giving meaning and purpose to his life through service to others.
